Appllication and Removal
HOW TO APPLY YOUR PRESS ON NAILS
Prep is Queen 👑
Just like a salon manicure, proper prep is the key to long lasting press-on nails.
- Start by making sure your hands are clean and your nails are free of oils or polish.
- Use the cuticle stick provided to gently push back your cuticles.
If you have a cuticle nipper, trim any excess dead skin for a cleaner look. - Smooth the edges of your natural nails with the nail file, then gently buff the nail surface with the nail buffer.
- Use the provided prep wipes to thoroughly clean your nails and cuticle area. This also helps remove any moisture from your nail beds.
- Choose your application method.
LouLouBelle’s press-on nails come with both, adhesive tabs and nail glue, giving you flexible options for application and wear.

Using Nail Tabs
Nail tabs are the perfect choice for short-term wear, lasting around 1-3 days.
- Match the adhesive tab to your natural nails, ensuring it covers majority of the nail surface.
- Apply adhesive tab to your natural nail, leaving a small gap between the tab and your cuticle.
- Smooth the tab onto your nail, using your finger to warm it slightly.
- Once the tab is warmed and flexible, peel off the protective layer.
- Place the press-on nail at an angle to the tab, pushing it gently towards the cuticle gap for a snug fit.
- Repeat process for each nail.
For best results, avoid contact with water (for at least 1-2hr) after application.
Using Nail Glue
For longer-lasting nails, opt for nail glue, which can keep your press-ons secure between 5 - 14 days.
- Apply an even layer of glue to your natural nail.
- Place a small drop of glue on the back of the press-on nail for extra hold.
- Align the press-on nail with your cuticle line (without touching it). Apply the nail at a slight angle, then press down firmly for at least 15 seconds, ensuring there are no air pockets.
- Repeat process for each nail.
For best results, avoid contact with water (for at least 1-2hr) after application.
❤ Tip: If you notice signs of lifting, I recommend removing the affected nail and reapplying. This prevents water from getting trapped between your natural nail and the press-on, protecting your nails from damage.
Factors that can affect longevity
While proper application is essential for long-lasting press-ons, your lifestyle also plays a significant role. If your hands are frequently exposed to water or lotions (e.g., hairdressers, massage therapists) or you engage in hands-on activities (e.g., sports, construction, typing), your nails may wear faster.
Activities like taking baths or swimming can shorten the wear time of press-ons, as they are designed to be removable with soap and water. Prolonged exposure to soapy water can weaken the adhesive.
❤ Tip: If you frequently wash dishes or do similar tasks, wearing gloves can help extend the life of your press-ons
HOW TO REMOVE YOUR PRESS ON NAILS
Taking the proper steps to remove your press-on nails will protect your natural nails and allow you to reuse your press-ons for future applications. Here's how to do it:
Avoid Peeling or Ripping Off Nails.
- Fill a bowl large enough to accommodate your fingers with warm to hot water and dish soap.
For added nourishment, you can mix in a spoonful of olive oil. - Submerge your nails in the solution for around 10-15 minutes, or until the press-ons start to loosen.
- Use a cuticle stick to carefully push the press-ons away from your natural nails.
Do not force the nail off. If the nail is resistant, soak it again until it loosens easily. - Once all press-ons are removed, gently buff your nails to remove any leftover glue.
- Apply cuticle oil to restore moisture and keep your nails healthy.
- Clean your press-ons and store them in their original packaging for future use.
